Mostly, embroidery is purely decorative, but in this case, it had a practical function. This cute artistically ragged top had a facing above the fastening which wouldn't lie flat, so I pinned it in place and embroidered Calligraphy Flowers from Embroidery.com over the top. The swirly designs match the jeans logo already on the back.
